Upward view of Los Angeles City Hall from the steps of the First Street courtyard. The camera is positioned low, looking up at the tall, light-colored building as it rises into the sky. The structure has a tiered, rectangular shape that becomes narrower toward the top. The sky above is visible behind the building. The steps and lower entrance area are partially visible at the bottom of the scene, emphasizing the viewer’s position at ground level looking upward.

MAKING LA WORK

CCA advances common sense policies that strengthen Los Angeles as a destination to live, work, invest, and visit.

We lead by bringing together Fortune 500 companies and family-owned businesses, civic institutions and cultural anchors, employers, builders, educators, and innovators. That range of perspectives is our power. It's how we cut through gridlock, elevate practical solutions, and move L.A. forward.

Together we're:

Building a bold vision for Los Angeles’ future

Supporting and attracting businesses, institutions, and jobs

Enhancing the experience of L.A. by improving public services and quality of life

Expanding housing at all income levels, and advancing solutions to homelessness

OUR COMMITTEES

Housing, Land Use & Development

At CCA, we believe a robust economy starts with communities where people can live and work affordably. Access to diverse housing options, quality jobs, and thoughtful development are interconnected – strong neighborhoods support strong businesses, and strong businesses strengthen neighborhoods. We partner across sectors to advance coordinated, strategic solutions that will help us build more housing, faster, and more affordably - at the scale Los Angeles needs.
View of the South Park neighborhood in downtown Los Angeles. Several tall buildings fill the scene, including multiple skyscrapers under construction. Construction cranes are positioned above the buildings, with long horizontal arms extending across the sky. Some structures appear unfinished, with exposed frameworks or partially completed exteriors. The scene shows an active development area, with the cranes and incomplete buildings indicating ongoing construction.

Transportation, Infrastructure & Energy

From the streets we travel on every day to the resources that power our homes and businesses, these foundations shape how communities function and grow. Strong, reliable infrastructure cultivates economic opportunity, strengthens neighborhoods, and drives growth, stability, public safety, and opportunity. When these systems are well-functioning, communities thrive, businesses flourish, and the city can meet both current challenges and future needs.
An above-ground light rail station in Los Angeles with a stopped train on the tracks. The front of the train displays its destination, “Santa Monica,” on a digital sign. The train is part of the E Line. The platform runs alongside the train, with space for passengers to wait and board. Overhead structures and rail lines are visible, indicating an outdoor transit stop.

Tourism & Economic Development

From Hollywood to Venice Beach to Downtown, tourism fuels our regional economy and puts the city’s energy and creativity on the world stage. By advancing initiatives that enhance cultural and entertainment offerings and create opportunities for local businesses, we help tourism generate lasting economic, social, and cultural impact for those who call L.A. home.

Daytime scene at the steps of The Music Center. A group of people with varied appearances—different ages, skin tones, and clothing styles—are walking down a wide set of steps. The steps have the words “The Music Center” written across them in large letters. The people are spread out across the steps, some walking alone and others in small groups. The scene shows an active public space with people moving downward in natural, everyday motion.

Political Action Committee

The CCA PAC is a non-partisan political action committee that supports candidates and initiatives who share our vision for the Greater Los Angeles region. It plays a major role in shaping the political landscape of local and state government to one that is focused on fostering job creation, economic growth, and community development. Through the PAC, members have the opportunity to actively engage in the political process, stay informed on critical legislative issues, and strengthen advocacy efforts on behalf of the private sector.
Daytime view of the California State Capitol in Sacramento. The building is centered in the scene, with a white dome rising above a rectangular structure. Tall cypress trees stand on both sides, framing the building and guiding the viewer’s attention toward it. The sky is bright, and the surrounding grounds appear open and well-kept, with the trees creating a natural border around the Capitol.
