State of LAX: Projects, Progress, and Planning
As many global visitors’ first and last stop in Los Angeles, LAX is amidst a multi-billion dollar transformation as part of Los Angeles World Airport’s (LAWA) Capital Improvement Program. Aimed to enhance traveler experience, efficiency, and dependability, projects such as the Automated People Mover, Consolidated Rent-A-Car facility, and the Airfield & Terminal Program Roadways Improvements Project are landmark investments to ensure LAX is ready to effectively, sustainably, and safely manage large crowds in and out of the region.

Hear more from Michael Christensen, LAWA’s Assistant General Manager and Chief Airport Development Officer, as he explains the status of each project, what’s next, and how the private sector can partner with LAWA to ensure Los Angeles can confidently accommodate the major global events coming ahead.
