Assemblymember Sade Elhawary represents California’s 57th Assembly District, including Exposition Park, South Los Angeles, and Downtown Los Angeles.

A Los Angeles native and daughter of Egyptian and Guatemalan immigrants, she is an educator, organizer, and social justice advocate with more than 12 years of experience at Community Coalition, where she helped develop young leaders, advance school climate reforms, support the Fremont High School Wellness Center, and co-found the Nelson Mandela School for Social Justice.
