LOS ANGELES, CA (October 2, 2023) – Today, the Central City Association (CCA) Political Action Committee announced its endorsement of Miguel Santiago for City of Los Angeles, Council District 14. CCA PAC strongly believes that Santiago is the best candidate to lead Council District 14 (CD 14) in its economic recovery, particularly for Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA).
“Miguel Santiago is the visionary we need to represent the heart of the city,” said Nella McOsker, President & CEO of CCA. “As we look toward reimagining Downtown Los Angeles, we need the consistent, thoughtful, and bold leadership that Miguel Santiago possesses in strides. He has a track record of relentlessly fighting for Downtown and both CD 14 and the city at-large will be well served with him at City Hall.”
A key component of CCA’s endorsement was a pledge for candidates to remain in office for their full term, if elected—especially given CD 14’s fluctuation in representation for the past several years. Santiago’s agreement paired with his deep history of serving DTLA made it clear that he is the resolute and focused leader needed to usher in Downtown’s recovery.
In addition to representing DTLA in the Assembly since 2014, Miguel Santiago has a long history of collaboration with CCA on issues related to public safety, homelessness and adaptive reuse.
